Tell us about Kane

I am an Aussie native now living in the heart of Houston, Texas, with my lovely wife Niza, our three incredible kids, and our loyal rescue Doberman, Gucci. I've embarked on an incredible journey that has taken me all around the world, fueled by my love for travel and adventure. I'm passionate about motorsports and particularly F1. When I'm not following the fast lane, I love cooking, creating delicious treats from a variety of cuisines, ranging from Texas-style grilling to the intricate flavours of French and Indonesian food.

I am educated with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, focusing on finance and commercial law. Over the past 20 years, I've gathered significant experience in international business, marketing, and contracting, predominantly in the offshore and telecommunications sectors.

Why did you establish Stepwise?

The birth of Stepwise stemmed from my curiosity and a strong drive to develop cutting-edge, environmentally sustainable energy solutions. It's an exciting challenge, mainly because of the impact on the triple bottom line — people, planet, and profit — in a tangible, real-world manner.

I'm a people person, and one of the best parts about Stepwise is our team. I've had the pleasure of working with several team members previously, and I can't stress enough how much I love the energy, humility, and multi-disciplinary expertise we all bring to the table. When the opportunity to work together presented itself, I couldn't pass it up.

What’s your focus in Stepwise?

Within Stepwise, my focus and responsibility is international business development. This includes having a deep understanding of the needs of our customers and partners and ensuring we are strategically developing our platform in line with these needs - whilst keeping a firm focus on market and risk analysis at the same time. But what I enjoy the most is nurturing our entrepreneurial spirit and the agility we have to pivot, adapt and deliver quickly.
