Spotlight on Petter O.Haukali

Tell us about Petter

Born and raised in Stavanger, Norway, I grew up in a sports-oriented family where the joy of competition, team spirit, and the drive to win were always central values.

I’m still based in Stavanger, where I live with my girlfriend and our two-year-old child.

In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, football, and golf, and whenever I get the chance, I like to be outdoors practising one of my hobbies. I’m also a big fan of good food and fine wine.

Why did you join Stepwise?

I first met Stepwise at ONS Stavanger in 2024 and was immediately intrigued. We stayed in touch from time to time before realizing that the timing was right for both parties.

I’m driven by a strong desire to win, and to me, Stepwise stands out as a team where everyone is able to play to their strengths — which is often a winning formula. At the same time, it’s highly appealing software for the industry.

What I value even more than winning is delivering real value to our customers — helping them improve efficiency in both operations and planning. Stepwise truly enables that.

What’s your focus in Stepwise?

In my role as Head of Business Development NCS at Stepwise, I focus on helping both new and existing customers improve efficiency and reduce costs.

I aim to serve as a bridge between our talented team and our customers, ensuring that we deliver real value and practical results.

And of course, I believe in enjoying the journey — having fun while we achieve great things together.
