Job description

A critical function of the Stepwise Operations team is to ingest data and present meaningful and compelling insight to our stakeholders, clients and partners.

As a Data Analyst, you will be a subject-matter expert (SME) in offshore data and analysis. You will develop a working understanding of the data flow from ingestion to the application, directly analysing data quality and customer experience. You will identify errant data inputs by applying and creating analytical frameworks to streamline quality check processes. You will support troubleshooting of data flow issues in collaboration with our vendors, 3rd parties, product teams, and engineering partners. You will regularly work with large sets of data in the production environment, combining analytical thinking and knowledge of the data flow to confirm data lineage, accuracy and integrity. You are expected to take ownership of your work, respond to varying levels of urgency, contribute on multiple projects in parallel, and escalate according to SLAs on an ad-hoc basis.

General duties

Ensure continuous capture of learnings and experience transfer within Stepwise AS and between collaborating partners and contractors
Represent Stepwise AS in meetings and events as necessary

Required skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience
1 - 5 years' Data Analysis experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to think quickly on your feet and handle ambiguity
Understanding of, and interest in the energy market, technology and the green transition
Strong work ethic, responsible and result oriented personality
Comfort with ever-changing situations
Excellent skills in software tools such as Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in both English and Norwegian.
Regularly assess your own performance and adapt your work to achieve better results
Intermediate proficiency with SQL, C#, Python and PowerBI
